Sireline Information:
Why Rohdiamant?

Midnight - deep asleep and dreaming.
The phone rings - is it just a dream?
No. But it is about a dream to become true:
Fannie Mae has given birth to a filly by Rohdiamant!

A black pearl, a true rarity and I am overly happy!
This is the mostly desired filly I have been hoping and waiting for so badly - six heat cycles for Fannie to finally get pregnant, eleven months of hope and wait...
Fifteen days ahead of time - it just had to be a filly!
Fannie has had a strong udder for days, last night milk started running and oviously, it was about the time for her to give birth.
She walked up and down in her stall and wouldn't lie down. The foal's food was already visible when she finally did lie down, then it only took a few moments for the foal to slip out completely - amazing!
Fannie however was eager to let noone come nearby her newborn princess - greatest careful mum of all, she is!
Finally, this morning she allowed for me to sit in her stall and watch them both in peace and happiness - so joyful. So content.
Thank you, Fannie, you did great!

... and it was such a long way to get there, but every once in a while, wonders do happen:
After years I had finally decided to breed Fannie to Rohdiamant for all the reasons this true stamp stallion deserves recognition:
It took her six heat cycles last year, of wich Fannie had spent the last three cycles at the Vorwerk stallion station, along with her foal Sansibar.
An arrangement I truly didn't favor since I hate to give my mares away when they have a foal aside. But I had payed a fortune of money for the breeding fee already and I really didn't want to breed her to any other stallion. Stubborn, I guess.
When I picked her up from the stallion station for the last time in July I really didn't expect anymore from it... It simply wasn't meant to be and I had given up on it.
I had already made arrangements for Fannie to move over to my riding barn here in münster in october once Sansibar was weaned so I would get to train and ride her until next years beginning of the new breeding season.

But every once in a while wonders do seem to happen:
One night in July we had a little party at my mare barn owner Ingrid and she handed out champain to each of us saying:
"We have something to celebrate!"
I had no clue what she was talking about as I hadn't even asked for the vet to check my mare anymore on her 18 days ultra sound since I was sure it would be useless anyway. So Ingrid said:
"Raise your glasses to Fannie!
Fannie Mae is in foal to Rohdiamant!"

I was stunned. And what a wonderful way to communicate such news!
And since everybody at the party knew about my Rohdi-Frustration for the last months it sure was the nicest thing to celebrate - what a party!

Wonders do happen...

Today a new chapter has begun in Luzifee's life:
Little Luzifee has left the young mare herd and moved to our Muenster barn to get started under saddle and learn everything a young horse needs to learn. Of course, Silas, my charming heartbreaker, was all over her from the first moment and provided little Luzifee with an easy start in her new life. When I took both of them in from the pasture the two of them were already inseparable...

First time little Luzifee on the eventing ground - she is just doing great following a lead horse in the water and doing it all by herself in due course.

Same thing happened introducing her to her first jumps:
follow a lead horse in trott and doing it all by herself in due course...

Luzifee has found a new home as a future broodmare in pony breeding!
I truly fancy the idea to see this daughter of Rohdiamant in pony breeing - actually, I have been considering to breedLuzifee to a pony stallion myself.
But I can't keep them all, so I greatly appreciate to know her in pony breeding not too far away from here and it will by my greatest pleasure to visit her with a cut pony foal at her side one day...
